Naa Ayeley Osongor I

One of the things I have always been most passionate about as a person is the desire to create a better environment for everyone. My desire to solve/help people with problems is what got me into marketing because Marketers make change happen.

I have spearheaded various training and capacity-building programs for underserved groups, particularly young people, through strategic partnerships with thought leaders and traditional and religious leaders.

It is in doing this and more that the good people of Alajo led by (the Alajo Mantse) Nii Kwaku Armah Ajoor II and his council of elders bestowed on me the honorary title of the Noyaa Manye under the stool name Naa Ayeley Osongor I

My selection as the Development Queen mother is a testament to the impact of my work, which transcends my community and religious affiliation. It reaches diverse populations even in areas with populations predominantly different from my own religious beliefs.

I consider it a great honor to serve the people in this capacity and be the catalyst of positive change for them.

Standing with Apiate: Nourishing Hope In Crisis

In January 2021, the residents of Appiate in Ghana's Western North Region faced a devastating disaster as a nearby mining site displaced thousands of people. As the Marketing Manager for Ghana and French West Africa at the time, I took the initiative to lead my team in donating several cartons of Blue Band Margarine along with packs of bread rolls to help feed and nourish the affected victims.

Speaking to the MCE of Prestea-Huni-Valley on behalf of the displaced victims, Mawusi Mawuenyefia said the company’s goal is to make people healthier and happier with nutritious and delicious, plant-based products; hence the donation.

“When we heard of the unfortunate incident that had befallen the people of Appiate, we thought it wise to show our support to the residents by providing them with some of our nutritious Blue Band margarine accompanied some bread to keep them fed and nourished over the next few days even in these times,” she noted.

Compassion In Action For Akosombo Dam Spillage Victims

In a heartfelt initiative that speaks to my deep-rooted passion for helping the needy and serving my community, I initiated a call for urgent relief for the victims of the Akosombo Dam spillage. This disaster has displaced thousands of families, leaving them in dire need of assistance.

Recognizing the urgency of the situation, in collaboration with Chanrai Brands, we brought essential items; food, clothing and some cash to the families displaced by the spillage. I also mobilised volunteers on ground to help serve the people as we went round with the donations. Their is a testament to the power of collective action and the difference we can make when we come together to support those in need.

As a dedicated community leader, my mission has always been to champion causes that uplift and empower the vulnerable. This initiative is just one of many steps towards creating a resilient and compassionate society, where no one is left behind in times of crisis.
